why are there no green mamals?
you'd think that it would be a good evolutionary trait for mamals living in forests and such to be green to blend in.. but there are none..

I mean tigers are orange and black and white stripes for camouflage, but surely they'd be better in black white and green stripes?

plenty of reptiles and birds and fish etc but no mamals..

If they were perfectly camouflaged they'd keep crashing into each other when running then when they wanted to mate they'd not find each other. I guess it isn't a major advantage.

Most mammals are a meal for some other predator so going around in technicolor may not be a good thing to do. Also, I have been led to believe by nature programmes that some mammals only see in black/grey/white tones so what's the point of them dressing up for their partner. Bit like some humans I suppose. :)

how about a blue one then
take yourself off to pandora, theres loads of em!!!

(sorry just had to post that one!)
