If you really are tired of your current occupation forget plumbing as a lucrative career. Enrol in a hairdressing college.
Daughter wanted her hair braided so wifey enquired at one of the street traders in local resort as to how much. Wifey returned and said "It's only 8 Euros. That's cheap.", so off they went to have the deed done. Wifey returned later ashen faced. It had actually cost 80 EUROS. My reaction is best left out of print.
So at just under two hours work, that's 40 Euros a hour for sitting in the sun playing with people's heads. Beats plumbing hands down. I'm off to practice my plaiting skills on the Barbie dolls.

Oh dear !! thats a classic scam with those street traders.. Was she/he a gypsy.. or somalian type?? They tried it on with a young family while I was in Majorca.. Luckily ! whilst waiting at the stall, someone told them to ask the price again ....seems they were goin to be charged a lot more than the 10 euro.. Quite a malleeeee when they walked away and were followed by the traders Partners/pimps etc...soon stopped when police was mentioned

thing is with any "job" like that, (not counting scammers) the pay /hour is good, but the hours you work / day are few.

its not a case of work more hours then, sometimes you cant

eg childrens entertainer (no, its not what i do in my spare time, its the easiest i could think of)

lets say 2 hour kids party £80

thats £40 / hour

but suppose and is common, you only have 4 bookings all week
thats only £320, yes its good for the hours you worked, but you have all the prep work to do, (buying in more stuff, cleaning uniform etc) so you may spend 4 hours all told / job, so although it looks good on paper it isnt
