Now urgent! Can one of u nice pro decorators help please?

Can anyone please help. We had walls that were painted with 2 coats of vinyl silk but wanted to wallpaper so we sized them with wallpaper paste. We were going to paper 3 walls but after finishing the chimney breast have decided that it will look too busy and opted just to do 2 walls. The problem is that we have a sized wall that we now want to paint. Can we paint over size or is there a wayof removing it back to the vinyl silk before applying a top coat?

Don't paint over it.
Just wash it off, it washes off easily. Make sure you get it all off.

I will do that. Thank you so much. We are desperate to get back into our house since the floods and the sooner we get the decorating finished the sooner we can get our furniture back from storage.

Nice hot soapy water. make sure you get it all off or it will lift the paint when aplpied.

Cheers. It's a nightmare to apply in the first place because over paint you can't see where you've done! We'll have to work out a pattern to follow. Thanks.

you can get a lot off if you wet it well, and use a wide metal scraper. You will see it building up on the scraper and can wipe it off.

Use a rag when you think it's clean.
