When turning on the hot tap my Ocean Apha 240 eco fires up for about 10 seconds and then switches off, Iff you leave the tap running it will occassionally fire up for a very short period and then switch off. The symtoms are exactly the same if you switch to the central heating it will only stay lit for a few seconds and then switch off and then intermittantly
cut in and so on. This all started about a month ago and has gradually got worse.
The boiler is about 8 years old (is this old for a combi ?)so could you please advise as to whether I would be better off buying a new combi rather than getting a huge repair bill and then say it`s life is only another year or so down the line then having to replace the boiler.
