We have an Aquarius FDW60 dishwasher. Occasionally it stops shortly after filling with water, and starts making a noise like a wallpaper steamer blowing steam and water through a pipe. After about 20 minutes I hear the dispenser open, and then the cycle continues as normal.
When this happens, the washer tablet does not get fully dissolved, and cleaning results are inevitably poor compared with when it runs normally.
I assume either the heater is either not fully immersed in the water, or there's failing water circulation so the heater is overheating the water that surrounds it.
Where should I start looking for the problem?
Water fill level?
Blocked pump?
Where are all the bits, and how do I get at them?
