Odd things happening with hot water system

Suddenly have hot water upstairs, no hot water downstairs - but sometimes there is warm water coming out of the cold tap in the (downstairs) kitchen!
Old house, Ravensheat Combi boiler in kitchen.

Any ideas? Thank you!

Either the calorifier in the boiler has failed or you are in the berboiler triangle.
