Offsets or elbows when piping up basin

When piping up basins do people tend to offset the pipes to the no.62s or use 2 elbows close up to the top of the basin?

Dont think I have used them for years,
Flexible Tap Connectors with valve, makes life easy

Back in the day it was all done with a pipe bender but now as above.

When I was on an electrical course we had to do swan-necks in metal conduit with a bender.
What's happening to all the old skills?

Get a bending spring - peanuts to buy.

i've still got my springs 10,15 & 22mm.

My mate down in Bristol has got a 28mm spring but i've never seen it used
