Hi,
New to this site and oil boilers so please bear with me. I had an oil delivery yesterday and now the boiler isn't working as I was really stupid and forgot to switch it off - I haven't lived in this house long and am new to oil.
The boiler is a Brotje Logobloc Unit and I have no manual.
Can anybody help please
Linda

What symptoms do you have? At the moment all I have to offer is

I don't quite understand what you mean by symptoms - basically the boiler is not doing anything, not working. There's a red light that comes on when I switch it on but that's it.

The boiler will have a burner, it may be visible, or it may be behind a door. The burner has a control box which may have an illuminated button on it. Press the button and let me know what happens (if anything) in detail.

Is there a reset button either on the front of the boiler or inside on the bits sticking out of the main boiler bit?

If so then press it.

I've searched pretty thoroughly, I took the front off and cannot find anything vaguely resembling a reset button apart from where there's a label saying "Rechauffer fioul en fonctionnement" with an arrow pointing to the side which translates something like "reheat fuel oil operation" and I would assume there to be a button there. What there is is a small green plastic bump which looks like it should be illuminated but isn't, and doesn't seem to be pressable if you know what I mean. Nothing else at all.

Can you find a model name on the burner, and on the boiler? Or post some photos, preferably of the boiler :)

On the burner, the control box is at the top right. It has the reset button on it, but it may not be illuminated. There may be an overheat trip, but I have no idea where.

I had another fiddle round and you're right, the red light IS the reset button, I didn't realise the middle bit pushed in so it's WORKING . :D
Bless you, bless you and thanks for your patience with a novice idiot

That's ok, we deal with experienced, professional idiots here too. ;)
