good evening,

to cut long story short,we were travelling up the A1 to scotland last week and we stopped of for some snap a stones throw just of the A1 at a little boozer.driving through the village i noticed a new development(an old barn conversion-several houses).the show house was open so i said to the missus, lets go and have a neb.twas beautifull inside and noticed that the heating system was underfloor oil-fired(trianco)with no radiators.i was just wondering how much dollar it costs to have one of these set ups fitted?do they kick out much heat?in the living room there was wires in the fire place presumably for a leccy fire(the house wasn't quite finished).the majority of piping was john guest.also there was an unfinished"WET ROOM" up stairs.i wouldn't like to think i got one of those with plasterboard albeit tiled walls.concrete sound s a better option(downstairs).droning on a bit here!!!all in all the house was nice but out ofsoddin price range(£195 grand cheapest up to £325 grand) bet the builders are laughing :p :p ah well just a little bedtime story for yas all.P.S if that sales rep just happens to be reading this forum;youre a stuckup wrinkled old 10 bob millionaire twaaat.

went off the rails a bit   just wanted to know how much the heating would cost? blydy hell mate youre like lightning

one trys not much ex with underfloor
would asume cos the system temp is lower so will be the fuel bill (after the initial warm up i have been told that uf heating favours condensing boilers cos the temps are right :)

Seen it on a DIY prog where the sales man was extolling the benefits of u/f heating. 25% cheaper to run than normal ch but I bet the installation costs are astronomical

initial installation cost would be offset by price of coal ie... quid a bag or pick axe and sovel it yer sen(plenty of land seams where i live)  tradition is best : ;)

if yer can't beat em join em!!!
