Oil tank security

Can anyone suggest a way of increasing the security of a heating oil tank cap to prevent theft of the contents.

Here is the present arrangement which is far from ideal but the only option I can think of.

Anything much more secure and they will just put another hole in it.

That lock can be cropped off in seconds.

Perhaps building brick surrounds keyed into the wall at the back, a decent steel roof & door & a heck of a bit bigger locks on may be an improvement.

heavier duty paddlock and a CCTV camera pointed towards the tank (under £50 from Argos).

At work we were suffering from our diesel being pinched from our tank, until we installed a camera. No losses so far since.

Pointless locking the top the best way to empty that tank is to rip off the gauge pipe.

Better off with an alarm mine
