Hi
Nasty old plastic-fronted off-cream (they call it white, and it might well have been 30 years ago) Aquavalve 400 concealed mixer unit in the bathroom, been there for decades I expect. I broke the temperature knob, and rather than just replace the knob the Mrs said "can't you replace it with something that looks a bit less horrible?". Of course, my sweet!, says I, anything fora quiet life you. Onto ebay, and a very-pretty-but-very-cheap chrome single-twisty-handle thing arrives in the post. Hurrah!
Sadly the connectors on the aquavalve appear to be aqualisa-specific, while the replacement is 1/2" BSP female. So I could rip out all the aqualisa-specific stuff that's there and replace it with 22mm piping and some couplers, but a) that seems like quite a lot of work and b) it'll cost about 3 times what the valve cost. Boo!
So I thought - bright idea! - I'll see if I can get an adaptor that converts the 1/2" female to whatever the aquavalve's connectors are. Winning!
Sadly there's nothing on the aqualisa site to tell me what the connector is, and I'd really rather have all the bits ready before I take the whole shebang apart, because thanks to the frankly odd way this old house is plumbed together it's a game and a half to figure out how to turn off the supply. So I thought, I'll see if anyone on the forums has more of a brain than I and can figure it out from the aqualisa site (or perhaps just knows already).

and the new valve, just because...
Any suggestions appreciated.
Cheers
Geoff
