old concord wrs keeps turning off

hi moved into a house with an old ideal concord wrs 240 boiler.its a great boiler but lately the pilot keeps going out.its easy to relight but only works for a week or two.i have been around when it goes off and you can hear it click off.just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction so i dont get ripped off and i know i need a new boiler just dont want to change it till next year. cheers

Thermocouple, or gas valve, or in need of a good service.

All of the above is territory for an RGI, and should be an hour or less labour plus materials.

Very simple boilers.

No, you don't need a new boiler. Re-newed a case seal on one of these recently. Parts still available.

Brilliant boilers. Don't get fooled into spending a couple of grand to save a bit on gas.
