Hi All,

My question is quick and easier to anyone who uses Hep20 piping.

I have lots of old fittings and piping left and I want to add to my extension in the house and I don't have enough to cover so i will need to buy more Hep. I can only find the new white kind.

Can I mix and match the system using grey hep fittings on white hep piping?

Thanks

Adam, they only changed the colour to make it more appealing and less obtrusive if on display, so crack on! :D

For anyone else who looks for an answer to this, I had an email today from Hep Technical Support and they had confirmed that white and grey is fully compatible with each other.

Good stuff. With the price of copper now plastic is the way forward.

What do you fellows know I do not. I find working with it a nightmare. The push on fittings are nice, with a quality compression fitting and copper I do not see any real downsides as they are simple to assemble.

On another thread one poster suggested Polyplumb as it is softer. I found Speedfit murder and very time consuming.

Because you were using Speedfit PEX. Polybutylene is easier to use because it is softer and has less 'memory'. Polyplumb only do polybutylene, Speedfit do both.
