old keypad

I am looking after an empty house, haven't got time or money to alarm it so have put a couple of signwritten bellboxes up, I would like to put a dummy keypad on the inside wall where it can be seen through glass panel in front door, anyone got one to spare?

My own Galaxy pad has a green LED to show it has power supply, I suppose I could put a battery inside the dummy to make it look live.

You should be able to just connect it to a battery or a wall wart psu to make it light up and appear like it is connected to an alarm panel.

You could bodge the LED, but not the LCD screen.

use battery for led's and different type of color led's and for lcd screen you have to use some programming well to this.

I bough that Menvier one off ebay, when it arrives I will have a look inside and see how I might give it battery-driven leds

looking at the galaxy one in my own house I see it has green "supply healthy" led, plus illuminated buttons plus backlit display, so I will see what I can do (no handy power supply in the empty house)
