Those were the days. I used to put a rope across my shoulders and stand on the inner wings to lift the engine out of my Viva. That was the easy part, the hard part was trying to convince my mum that it was ok to work on engines inside the house.

Lol. I’ve done exactly the same. As a Vauxhall apprentice, I once ran home in my lunch hour, roped an engine into a Viva and ran back to work. I needed to get it in while it was light.

We’re in Bath at the moment. I recently found some old photos of when we were last here nearly 20 years ago. I seemed to have gained a bit of a belly and a pair of tits since then!
