This drives me nucking futs!!

Why not "every day", or, even better, "frequently", because that's invariably what it is used to describe.

Anybody else have any language "isms" that get on their tits?

Oh, yeah, "ball-park figure" ARRRRRRGHHHHH!!

Mrs Secure used to go to meetings and play "bullsh!t bingo", where you have naff sayings on a sheet and when you've ticked them all off, you shout "BULLSH!T BINGO!!"

When you have misplaced something, "where did you have it last?"
If I could remember that why would I still be looking??. aarghh

Do the media have a special dictionary - perhaps there is a minimum quota for each word or phrase. Don't you find some TV programs are ruined as you spend all the time anticipating the next "fantastic".

pacifically as opposed to specifically.

pacifically means it has some oceanographic context and isn't a word anyway.

Specifically - Pertaining directly to an object or situation.

''an hotel'' is english but as the language is constantly changing it dosnt have to be, so, if we use the term ''a hotel'' enough we could possible change it, who decides what's english? I'm cornish, the english outlawed my native language a few hundred years ago which would explain my bad grammar.
