Do the IET only list books when they've been printed and are ready for despatch?
I can't see anything mentioning in stock or due by such a date apart from available in 2008!

Anybody ordered from the IET before?
What method do they use for delivery?
Hopefully 1st class or recorded so it's only a trip into town but hate couriers as it's a trip into Manchester (yes, I always miss them). Amazon not showing stock yet.

Just received the 17th version of the Electricians Guide To The Building Regulations today, from Amazon though.

Also got Electrical Installation Design Guide, another excellent book.

I ordered the red BS7671 from Amazon, seemed to take ages to arrive. Ordered GN3 from IET and it was here in a couple of days.
I have also ordered the two books GaryMo mentioned from the IET, so will see how long they take to arrive.

I normally order first class from Amazon which means the books arrive pretty sharpish. I Ordered the guide to building regs on Monday afternoon, it arrived this morning. If you're in a rush then don't choose the super saver option for free postage.

I ordered them at least a week before they were released, I have had mixed results with the supersaver option. Sometimes it is pretty sharpish and other times slow.

I order two BS7671:2008 from IET as a member it was cheaper than any other source they were quick and when things went wrong on second one where I thought I had double ordered help line very good. Yes two as my son sat exam same day as me and we could hardly share book in exam.
In fact as student member cheaper to join and order than just order BS7671:2008 I get E&T every month most still in wrapper but that's normal anyway.
