One downstairs rad (sometimes) going lukewarm.

Hi all,

I wonder if anybody can give some suggestions. We have a Vokera 80E combi-boiler with 2 rads downstairs and 4 rads upstairs. The rads upstairs are heating nicely, but one rad downstairs (in the open plan livingroom) heats well at the top and sometimes only lukewarm at the bottom. The room is very big and the floor is quite cold. Any ideas?

I have also noticed that sometimes the other radiators go lukewarm at the bottom as well, but not as bad as the one in the living room.

It's probably worth noting that I have a british gas engineer fixing a problem with the fact the hot water keeps going cold. (still hasn't fixed it yet, after a week)
