Yes one wonders because it seems likely that the fourth body guard has been killed and they kept the prize asset alive,still best of luck to him on the rest of his life.

There are lots of other hostages whom we hear very little about, maybe because there are 'behind the scenes' activities going on or for whatever reason.

May they all be brought home safely to their families and loved ones very soon.

BBC security correspondent Frank Gardner said it appeared "some kind of deal" had been done, though not necessarily involving the British government.

"The main person the abductors wanted back, I'm told, is out of US custody... and handed over to the Iraqis," he said.

Qais Al-Khazaali had been suspected of involvement in the kidnapping and eventual killing of five US soldiers, Mr Gardner added.
