I've searched the forums for this but can't seem to apply it to my situation...
I have 3 wall lights in my living room and decided to 'simply' replace the dimmer faceplate.
Not knowing too much about wiring I decided to copy the wiring from the old to the new.
This didn't work. So I guess that I either made a mistake or the unit is faulty.
A friend has since tried his hand at it with no success and I'm now left with no idea how the original was wired...
I have two 2-Core (Black/Red) cables coming into the box plus an earth. The earth attachs fine to the metal faceplate from the box.
One black has a red tape while the other cable has a black with yellow tape and a red with blue tape
This is a one way/3 gang switch which I believe is a Type 2 ie. ~ / L1 / L2
Can you help?
Thx
Neil
