.........the answer to this one.
I need to install a security lantern/external light to the front of my property and i don't want ugly cables going up the wall.
The position for the light is on the right hand side of the garage making it central to the front of the house, the problem is its not a case of drilling straight through the wall as on the other side the internal blockwork is situated.
I only have around 4" of wall on the inside to come out of and with the external light having to sit centrally between the garage door and toilet window positioning is critical.
So with this in mind does anyone have knowledge on how to obtain the correct angle to drill straight through in order to feed wires directly into the garage.

You could use trigonometry....
If you know the differance in height between the 2 holes, and the thickness of the wall.
eg wall thickness of 400mm, width difference of 100mm...
Hold you drill at 76 degrees to the wall, and hey presto.

Hi,

I've seen security lights advertised somewhere which were solar powered operated and could be the answer to your problem. Try googling.
