tv working ok but was moved due to decorating. after connecting everything back up only getting bbc programmes. tried someone elses amplifier gear similar to mine. labgear dist. amp puh141 and power supply labgear psm114/s. any ideas-Dundee area

It's possible that your TV has lost its memory when unplugged, but I'd expect there to be no channels stored if that were the case. It's more likely that something isn't connected correctly and/or a cable is damaged. Bends and kinks in cables can create a frequency specific filter that can stop some channels working but leave others intact.
Check your wiring: In's/Out's correctly connected; look at cables for snags/bends/kinks/crushing. Check plug ends haven't been yanked off or that braiding is touching the centre core. Check that all centre cores are present i.e. none broken off. Once you've done all this then have a think about doing a first time install on the TV so that it rescans for channels.
