Probably very easy but I need to remove the head from a tap and it looks very fragile - onyx type - do I just use force or is their a technique for removing the head. Thanks in anticipation

ours are NOT onyx but they do (eventually) pull off

I knew the hot one does, but the cold one wouldn't pull off, so i used a screwdriver to VERY GENTLY lever it off, that is screwdriver under tap head, lift SLIGHTLY, turn tap a bit, lever, turn tap, lever...........
