This may sound like a daft question, but when adding an open fireplace (ie with a grate, not a stove) where there is currently no fireplace and no chimney, is it possible to go from the throat onto a metal flue, such as you would use when installing a stove? That is, build a chimney breast inside the room, but go up inside it, and out, with a twin-walled flue rather than building a masonry chimney? If so, what would be the components to make the connection?
Thanks
