Our front living room has an open staircase leading to the bedrooms and a bathroom, the hall upstairs runs parallel to the stairs. We get a lot of heat escaping upstairs and the room takes a while to heat up. We can’t fit a door or build a wall so looking for simple solutions please? There was a curtain there when we moved in but I am thinking more of a sliding blind or similar, or a fan? Would that work?
