Hi everyone
Not sure whether this is the correct forum but hoping someone can give me some advice.
Prior to us moving in present property the previous owners had decided to seal off the old chimney and move the chimney breast about 3 foot along to make it central to the existing lounge and installed an electric fire. We now would like to install a gas fire so would like to know if this is feasable? When looking up inside the chimney breast I can still see half of the old chimney sealed off at the floor above. Could this be re opened and used for a new gas fire?
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks
