Hi All,
Has anyone cut new doorways into load bearing Flemish Bond walls? Im cutting a new doorway into the side wall of my end-of-terrace property for basement access (Pending Building Regs approval), and while I'm familiar with acros and strongboys I haven't done anything in this style of brickwork before. For a standard single doorway should I be using needles all the way through, or would a couple of strongboys be sufficient? Of course I'll get any calcs done etc. that are needed by the engineer, I just wondered if anyone had a 'method' so to speak for openings in flemish bond.
Thanks!
