Hi all
Considering replacing my lead service pipe which runs from street stoptap down side of house underground and enters up through kitchen floor under the sink at the rear of house where it splits after the stop cock to the kitchen tap nearest and up the wall into the bathroom upstairs feeding that before continuing under upstairs floor back to boiler in cupboard next to front door.
Pipe within house is mostly 15mm copper with a bit of plastic.
Rather than dig the new service in all the way to the back of the house i was thinking of bringing in the new pipe into the boiler cupboard next to front door and teeing into the pipe feeding the boiler and disconnecting the old lead feed under the kitchen sink.
Is there a regs issue with this? My mind is recalling that the first thing fed should be the kitchen sink wheras back feeding in this way would make it the last. The new order would be boiler - outside tap - bath - basin/toilet - kitchen sink - washer.
Any advice gratefully received.
Thanks.
