I have a 1930 house with a 9x17ft single skin outbuilding which has a solid concrete roof around 6 inches thick. The concrete roof runs the whole length of the outhouse and seems to connect to the main house in someway.
Within the outhouse there are 2 internal walls, one solid and one with a door.
I would like to remove these internal walls (well at least one), and also remove a 2m length of the outside wall to fit a lintel to house some patio doors. Longer term view is to batten and Celotex the floor (inc damp proofing), walls and ceiling.
I am concerned mainly as to whether the internal walls are supporting the concrete roof slab in any way??
