Good morning
Looking for some help on the interior build of a outbuilding converted into a garden room
Garden room is 10mtr x 5 mtrs originally a outbuilding with dbl skin brick walls
The front wall has been rebuilt with a dpc
But the back and side walls don't have a dpc or the floor
I was thinking of doing a floating floor with dpc, insulation, 22mm floor boards

Iam struggling on what's the best approach for the walls

One of the side walls ground is higher on the neighbours property with no access to the external wall due to a party wall being there

Iam thinking making internal stud timber wall for the plasterboard

How do I stop damp or moisture reaching the timer studs
Will a cavity from the brick to the stud wall be sufficient?

So

Brick
Cavity 50mm ?
Stud wall with insulation in between
Vapour barrier
Board
Skim

Black jack the brick walls ?
Moisture barries on brick wall ?

Sorry for all the questions
Regards Matt

Thanks for the reply
Height difference on the right hand side wall I would say no more than 1mtr
The street is on a slope sloping down right to left
It hasn't shown any signs of being wet but the roof is still not on at the moment
Just thinking ahead and getting a plan for the stud walls

with dbl skin brick walls
Solid or cavity?

is it built on a slab or are the walls built on a foundation with a separate floor slab

Sometimes with garage type outbuildings there is an issue stopping water and damp getting through at the bottom of the walls. On houses the cavity wall extends 3 bricks below the internal floor so and water in cavity runs down to the bottom

It looks like a foundation with a separate floor concrete slab
It's a dbl brick solid wall
Thanks
