Hello

I have something called Aphantasia, I can’t visualise images in my head, but I know what I want.

I am after a chair or sofa, that will be extra comfy so I can enjoy the outside once again.

Here is my first sketch of roughly what I am after.

Should I just do butt joints, or mortise joints which I have never done before. The butt joints will be put together with screws.

The frame will be made from 3x2’s
The slats will be either pallet wood, or gravel boards
There will be padded (most likely a second hand foam/memory foam) cushions to help make it extra comfy.

How should this be put together, build the sides and connect them, or build the front/back and then connect them?

I saw the second picture around someone’s house, made of metal, I want the same design but wooden (roughly)…

What about this? Not exactly the same but it has a similar shape.
