Hi.

Any help would be great. I have an outdoor RCD protected fused spur that feeds an outdoor double socket. I have wired it into the ring main through the other side of the wall. When I flick the switch on the outdoor socket the red led comes on above the socket showing that it is getting power, however as soon as I plug anything into it, the RCD trips on the fsu. If anyone has any ideas that would be great.

I'm using 2.5mm twin and earth to feed everything. There doesn't seem to be any physical damage to any of the units and no earth's seem to be touching any other conductors.

Cheers

Check there is no moisture, and check the polarity of connections around the socket, spur, and the item you are plugging in.
