I'm looking for some advice on what type of outside lighting to buy.

I was going to space them every few metres across the back of my house in order to light a path from my back door to the garage as it's quite dark on a night and the dog likes to lay eggs in this area occasionally.

I think i'm looking for a bulkhead light of some description operated by a switch only, I have PIR operated flood lighting already but rarely use it (it's switched off at the SFCU most of the time)

Any reccomentations on brands of lights and what cable to use?

Feel free to offer part-P advise however I will be upfront here and say straight away i'm doing this install myself.

Lighting circuit has plenty of capacity (about 4amps used roughly) and is RCD protected.

Take your pick.

If you are lighting a narrow path I like the look of these although I've never used them or seen them used.

Outdoors you should use SWA (armoured) or Hituf cables. Obviously with suitable glands and terminations.

Oh and notify blah blah blah.
