Hi all
My son has moved into a new build and had an outside tap and socket fitted, nothing wrong with the socket box used and it is rcd protected but the tap has been positioned pretty much directly above the socket box. Not sure that would be correct to the reg's.
If anyone could confirm so he can speak to the builders with the correct information, I would be grateful.

Not ideal, I suppose - but depends on how close to directly above is "pretty much".

The socket will be out in the rain.
