Outdoor vacuum cleaner

Hi, I need a vacuum cleaner that will Hoover up wet soil, leaves, etc. Will a standard wet and dry vacuum cleaner do the job? I've been using a normal Hoover and obviously it's not up to the job. Any advice would be good, I don't want to spent too much.

My KOBE 523i wet and dry ( from Kennedy Tools ) is still going strong after 4 years of abuse.

There are other makes and suppliers.
