outlet pipe for washing machine

hi i have recently installed a new kitchen and have moved the washing machine. i now need to get a longer outlet hose. what are the max lengths these come in as can only find 1.5m ones in DIY stores.
Is it poss to connect 2 together if needed?

yes you can join them together

You can buy 2.5 m hoses in DIY stores. I got mine in B&Q. Or else try ebay or the myriad of internet spares suppliers. If this length is enough I would advise against joining them if posible. Joined hoses are only another possible source of a leak.

there might be a "washing machine spares" outlet down the unfashionable end of your town, who has a great reel of the stuff and can cut off a length for you. Remember the hose factories make it by the mile and then it gets cut up and packaged.
