I've been trying to add an email address to my Virginmedia isp.
They cover the ones they took over as well, which was "blueyonder" in my case.
Now you can have email addresses with a number of different names of what used to be separate isps .

Outlook exp gets the "blueyonder" emails as before, but I can't get it to recognise/pull down the virginmedia one.
Accessing the email accounts through their "webmail " site, everything works.

What's annoying is that when it tries to get the virginmedia stuff it asks always for a password. I know the pw is correct, but it doesn't work.
Any ideas? I think everything's set up correctly, it's the same connection settings at the OE end for both emails.

Try entering your complete email address, not just the username. Most mail systems require this.

Thanks, but that's the screen it offers me. In accounts/properties the name is [email protected].

Are the Ports important? Virgin say set the outgoing one to 465 but it keeps getting reset to 25.

You woz right!
The ISP wizard set up the OE connection, but yes, that's what it was.
Yay!
