i have a 500wat halogen outside light wired to the back of a socket wired in 1.5 on my landing please tell me the risk also wot can i do to rectifiy it

no protection for thinner cable if overload - FIRE!

simple solution: add a FCU or take the wire out and wire it into a plug (if it is flex)
