Hi. Have an AEG double oven. Use only the top (non-fan) oven. Seems to take long time to cool down. Fan stays on a long time even with the door open maybe 15mins to cool down from 200C.
Fan was replaced last year sounds just fine, large stream of air flowing out from it in the slot just above the oven.
I had an issue over the last few months when it took a long time to heat up ... maybe 20 mins rather than 10 mins. I assume the element is getting old but have grown accustomed to it.
Is it possible than an old element could take a long time to cool down as well, and that it could be responsible for long time to heat up and long time to cool down ?
Cheers

Elements usually work, or not work - they don't become slower to heat up. Chances are there is more than one and one has failed. Cooling down will be either be timed, or done via a stat., checking temperature. Most are an easy replacement job, and not expensive, unless you call someone in to do it.
