Hi I want to replace a 2.3KW Whirlpool single oven with a 2.8KW hotpoint oven.
the Whirlpool unit is plugged into a socket which is spurred from a cooker control unit, the CCU is on a dedicated radial circuit.
so what i would like help with is, can I connect the hotpoint to the plug socket or would it be best practice to replace the plug socket with a cooker cable outlet plate and hard wire the oven, and if i do that does it change the radial circuit to a degree that it would need to be re-certified.
