Overflow Protection-No

Looking at a Hotpoint dishwasher online and the info says that it has no Overflow Protection. E-mailed Hotpoint regarding this and got the following reply:

"Thank you for your e-mail, I can advise that all of our dishwasher as fitted with an anti flood device. The appliance has what's called a float switch in the base of the machine and once the water touches that float switch the water will automatically turn off".

So does it or doesn't it??
