I'm having a problem with my bath overflow pipe. Water is continuosly trickling out of the overflow. There doesn't appear to be any blockage. The bath has been install for serveral years, and this is a recent problem.

Any advice would be appreciated.

are you sure its your bath overflow?

what happens if bath is empty?

if it still overflows its not your bath.

have a look in your loft, i bet you will find 2water tanks, one of which will be overflowing

Perhaps you should be putting less water in the bath. Have you got fat recently, and not taken this into account, when filling the bath?

If you have a WC in the same area, check that the overflow from the cistern is not connected to the back of the bath overflow. It's a pretty naff way of dealing it but there IS a special type of bath overflow made to take a cistern overflow pipe so that it drips forwards, out of the overflow into the bath.

Cheers for that

There is a second pipe running upto the overflow out let. I tried to chase it back but the previous owner has boxed in all the pipes.
