P trap - extra bit

Gentlemen

I have a p-trap on the bottom of me bath.

The waste and overflow go in one side and then disappears out the other.
There is however an extra nut along the horizontal. This is the same size as the other two "nut". I can't tell what it is for. I think it is a cleaning eye - but how I have taken the nut off and it is just solid plastic.

I was trying to get a bathroom trap that you can access from the top (like the showers) for cleaning. No joy.

I guess the only way to clean these is to have the bath panel and disconnect it. Still that other connect

why do u want to clean it is it blocked? If it is fire some one shot drain cleaner bought from your local merchants but be very very careful when using ,wear appropriate ppe as its powerfull stuff (Stinks when it eats away the crud but very effective)
