Packard Bell POST

My Aloha is working very well and is as fast as it can be with a 750MHz processor/250GB 7,200 HD/258MB RAM. My problem is waiting (seems like ages) for the POST to run on boot up. Is there any one here who knows how to turn this off and how to go about it?
