What brand of paint would you recommend to paint our soffits?
Intended to use Dulux Weathershield (Green Glade) but after reading the reviews have had second thoughts. Its a country house at around 120 years old.

Depends whats on it at the moment, if its an oil based coating then you need to use the same. Some more specialist water based paints can be used such as barn paint but the colour range is limited, and you can use bridging primers as well but the least amount of hassle is to go like for like.
Bear in mind who is writing the reviews they can be misleading, dulux is far from my favourite paint company but their exterior paints are generally ok, the only issues your likely to have is with the oil based u/c's and top coats in that they are slower drying than they used to be and some colours have problems with pigment separation.

If its got a shine its most likely an oil based gloss, because its unlikely WB gloss was available last time it was painted and because of the age of the house it will have had OB coatings applied and then like for like as times gone on, if it has a softer finish thats more like matt its likely to be a masonary (wb) paint, that said though some people use eggshell. Also OB will have a harder finish, its hard to explain, its an experience thing really, i can tell just by looking at it.
