I recently chipped some artex from the hallway ceiling, I was extremely surprised at how easily it came off. The ceiling was then patched up with new plaster, in places, to achieve a smoother finish.
The first coat of emulsion i applied caused some of the new plaster to peel off. Once it had dried it also appeared to have 'rust' like marks all over the place. I attempted a second coat to cover up the yellowish stains that had appeared but this seemed to make them more apparent. Additionally, as the paint began to dry it started to crack and peel.
Please can anyone advise how i should go about rectifying this mess?!!
