We're renovating a house and have quite a few different surfaces to paint and I wondered if someone could help me with what type of paint and/or primer/sealant I need for each job. Recommended brands would also be good. I've found so much conflicting info on the internet, I'm very confused!
The jobs are:
Painting interior brick wall white (it's in very good condition)
Painting a pine ceiling which is currently varnished but we're going to sand it. Again, it's to be white and I'd rather not have it gloss.
Painting walls where we've stripped the woodchip and they're not in great condition but we can't afford to replaster
Painting on plain but shiny wallpaper
In particular, when to use a primer and which one would be helpful and when we can use emulsion (or what we should use if we can't).
Thanks!
