Hi folks, i'm new to this site. Can anybody tell me why paint won't cover biro pen marks?
i've been painting the kitchen & marked border in biro, i painted 3coats, woke up 2day & the pen mark was bright as anything. Does this always happen?

Not sure if jasy is kidding or not, but I may have a reason:

The ink is soaking through the paint. What you need to do is sand down the area that has been drawn on, right down until you are below the ink (i.e. down to an older shade of paint). Then paint.

If it is indeed biro, I wouldn't have thought this would happen as the ink in a biro is oil-based. But if it is a water-based pen (as many roller-balls are) then it is likely.

I'm trying to figure out why you were using biro to mark your border: surely the border will go over the paint anyway
