paint under wallpaper

ive just stripped the wallpaper in 2 bedrooms. underneath there is a coat of which i guess is emulsion however about 50% came off with the wallpaper. how do i get rid of the paint that is left behind????

do i use diluted paint stripper or a steamer or use course sandpaper???

Paint stripper probably wont shift it..you could try a steamer but youll have to be careful not to damage the surface of the plaster

Try really hot water and a filling knife to scrape it with...the thinner blade gets behind the paint better
