Hello

I'm currently removing all the old masonary paint from the bays on the front of the house. I will be taking it back to the stonework / sandstone. I have purchased Dulux Weathershield paint as the final coats. My question is what is the best way to seal the stonework etc before i paint. Is it best to use a thinned down solution of the paint, put on a masonary sealer or a mix of PVA / water.

I want to get a good job done as i have had to hire scaffolding and dont want to be doing repairs in a couple of years etc.

Any advice would be gratefully received

Regards

Firstly NEVER EVER use pva, sandstone is very porus and requires a propriety sealer.
